The elected members of Spiritual Assemblies must needs be
pure and sanctified. Whenever a Spiritual Assembly is formed in a city, it
behoveth the teachers of the Cause to consult with it and to act according to
whatsoever it deemeth advisable. The teacher should not lay hands on worldly
things, whether pertaining to contributions or the like. Should the people in a
locality elect a teacher as a member of the Spiritual Assembly, this is
