At the
time when the Israelites had been taken into captivity, when the Roman Empire
had effected the dispersion of the Hebrew nation and when the law of God had
passed from among them and the foundation of the religion of God had been
destroyed, at such a time Christ appeared. The first thing He did was to
proclaim the validity of the Mosaic mission. He declared that the Torah was the
book of God and all the prophets of Israel were valid and true. He promulgated
the prophethood of Moses and proclaimed His name throughout the world.
